About the club
 
Start Point Windsurfing Club is located in Maagan-Eden Resort on the southern bank of the Kinneret. The club resides in a beautiful natural environment, surrounded by palm trees and green lawns, overlooking the fascinating panoramic scenery of the Galilee and Golan Heights. 
Our place was built with great love and dedication, which you can easily feel as soon as you enter the club, receiving a warm welcome.

Windsurfing Courses
Start Point windsurfing school offers a variety of courses. The best options for beginners are:
 · A full course of 12 hours
 · A basic course of 6.5 hours
Courses are led by professional, well experienced windsurfers, offering the best quality of instruction in the country. With close attention given to each and every student, we can guarantee your success, as our motto goes: Everyone can surf!

 About Us - Start Point Staff
 
Start Point Club was founded by Adam, a well-experienced, certified instructor and former competitive sailor, who won sailing championships in Israel and represented Israel in World Championships. Adam welcomes you to Start Point with his warm and friendly approach. All the instructors at Start Point have years of surfing experience and would love to give you their tips, advices and encouragement.

 

Windsurfing Equipment – Quality is the main factor.
At Start Point, you can find premium quality windsurfing equipment for surfers of intermediate and advanced levels. We got everything you might need, so there's no need to drag around heavy equipment. Start Point also offers surfing gear for rental.
The great summer winds are, off course, free.

Wind – You can't do without it!
In the summer, western winds appear every day at the same time. Around the peak of the season, winds reach the velocity of 25 knots and higher, and the whole area turns into a windsurfing festival, with surfers coming in from all over the country.
For those of you who like lighter winds, you can enjoy the light northern winds which blow all year round in the mornings, between 10:00 and 13:00.

Recommended Equipment
Board volume should be at least 80 Liters.
When the wind is high, volume higher than 110 Liters is not recommended.
We recommend having two sails:
For lightweight surfers, sail sizes 5 and 5.5
For medium weight and heavier surfers, sail sizes 5.5 and 6.
Sail sizes larger than 6 are not recommended, since winds in the Kinneret tends to gather speed and become very high.

Storage
Instead of dragging heavy windsurfing equipment around in your car, you can store your equipment in our club. Start Point offers you safe storage for the summer or for a whole year, for fair prices.

Club Atmosphere – It's all about fun!
In the afternoons and especially in the week-ends, the lawn is filled with sails of all colors and sizes. Windsurfers are great people, who would always love to have another beer while sitting and waiting for the wind. As soon as the first wind comes, everyone rushes to the water and there's nobody left on the lawn.
While you surf, your family and friends can relax on the beach or by the swimming pool.
Motor boats and jet skis are not allowed in the water, so you can enjoy the calm, quiet atmosphere.

Opening Hours are 09:00-19:00, 7 days a week, from April until November.
